Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to a new school year full of promise and changes. The promise is dedicated teaching to all students but of course, that is not new. What is new, is my position here at Grafton Elementary and I am thrilled with all the possibilities. I have accepted the interventionist position with the addition of 2nd and 3rd grade math. Together with a team, I will be teaching skills groups for both math and reading in all grades. Additionally, I will co-teach with Miss Mandy our librarian, research skills to grades 4,5, and 6. A link to the research curriculum map can be found at the top of this page. This variety has me very excited and super charged. My official home is a corner of the library which is a perfect fit.
When you come to school, please check out the flower garden that the now 3rd graders planted last May. The sunflowers will tower above you, looking down with smiles. The gladiolus are like beautiful bouquets on a stem. Take a minute to embrace their beauty. This fall we planted lots of tulips and daffodils so in the spring we will see an abundance of beauty in all sorts of colors.
I appreciate all that you, the parents, do towards the education of your most prized children. I am looking forward to a very special year.
Yours in teaching,
